Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway opens to traffic, enhancing transport connectivity for customers in the Southern region and Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc (Cat Lai Terminal D)
15/05/2025
Ho Chi Minh City, May 18th, 2025 – The vital connection segment of the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway project, stretching approximately 21 km from the intersection with the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway (Ben Luc District, Long An Province) to the Nguyen Van Tao intersection (Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City), was officially opened to traffic on April 28th, 2025.
The Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway (BL-LT) is operated temporary. Notably, vehicles weighing over 10 tons traveling from Long Thanh to Ben Luc are required to exit to National Highway 1A at Km3+420 and are not permitted to continue the Ho Chi Minh City – Trung Luong Expressway. The opening of this segment significantly shortens cargo transportation time, enhances operational efficiency, and ensures seamless and optimized supply chain activities. Furthermore, the BL-LT Expressway delivers uninterrupted connectivity, contributing to the inter-regional economic development from the Mekong Delta to Ho Chi Minh City.

BL-LT Expressway’s Nguyen Van Tao interchange completed and opened on April 28th, 2025
The expressway, with its modern infrastructure, enables import-export businesses in the Mekong Delta to reduce transportation time to the port by 30 to 60 minutes compared to previous routes. Additionally, this expressway eases traffic pressure on key inner-city routes such as Nguyen Van Linh, Nguyen Huu Tho, and National Highway 50.
