Cambodia approves framework agreement on highway to Vietnam

Heang Sothea Yut, a spokesman for the Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport, said Tuesday that the committee includes representatives from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and the Cambodian Development Council.
The Phnom Penh-Bavet Highway will be the second expressway in Cambodia after the 187-kilometer highway connecting Phnom Penh and Preah Sihanouk province.

The estimated cost of the 135-kilometer highway  is 2 billion USD.  From Phnom Penh, it will pass through Kandal, Prey Veng, and Svay Rieng province before connecting to the Bavet-Moc Bai international border crossing.
