According to the leaders of Custom Department, the installation of automatic scaning system will create favourable condition for export-cargoes of Vietnam to enter tough demand markets, especially USA

On April 2, 2010 Representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Custom Department held the opening and handing over ceremony of the first container scaner in Vietnam which is under “the custom controling enhancing program of Tan cang-Catlai Port-Ho Chi Minh city” (the unrefundable aid of USD 9.6 million signed between Vietnam and Japan Governments). This scaner is designed by L3 Communication company (USA) and used X-Ray to scan container, which will shorten container checking time by 4 to 6 times comparing with manual way. According to the leaders of Custom Department, the installation of automatic scaning system will create favourable condition for export-cargoes of Vietnam to enter tough demand markets, especially USA, because the law of scaning 100% of import-container into this country was gone through.
