Continuing the journey of connectivity and service quality affirmation at Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal with the CVC1 Service Route – Elevating International Service Standards
06/10/2025
October 5th, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City – Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc Terminal (TCHP), a member unit of Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), welcomed the first vessel of the CVC1 service route operated by Hua Xin Container Lines marking an outstanding milestone in international cargo transportation efficiency.
This service directly connects Huamen Port (China) – Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc (Vietnam) – Kampot (Cambodia), establishing a fast and seamless international transport corridor that optimizes logistics costs through shortened transit times while offering more choices for import and export customers in the region.

Overview of the vessel welcoming event
The launch of the CVC1 service marks an important milestone in TCHP’s strategy to expand its international service network, adding to its existing seven regular routes. This development reinforces the terminal’s role as a strategic southern gateway port within the logistics ecosystem of SNP.

The first vessel of the CVC1 service route, LIAN HE CAI FU, operated by Hua Xin Container Lines, is capable of handling both containerized cargo and breakbulk cargo. The vessel operates efficiently along the Soai Rap channel and at TCHP berths, with the capacity to transport various cargo types such as containers, clean bulk, bagged goods, and light project cargo.
TCHP – A Strategic, Modern, and Well-Connected Port
Benefiting from an increasingly synchronized regional transport infrastructure, the Ring Road No. 3 section connecting Trung Luong Expressway with Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park was inaugurated on April 30, 2025, and is expected to be fully operational by late 2026. Alongside the expansion of Nguyen Huu Tho Street, these developments enhance TCHP’s accessibility and competitiveness.
TCHP continues to promote Direct Delivery (GNTT) services at the terminal, reducing inter-terminal transshipment between TCHP and Cat Lai, shortening container dwell time, and thereby improving overall service quality for customers and shipping lines.

In alignment with customers’ and shipping lines’ strategies for logistics cost optimization, TCHP has launched a nearby container depot, equipped with a modern Empty Container Management (ECM) system. This system enables data synchronization, minimizes paperwork, and enhances the efficiency of container inspection, repair, and maintenance operations.
The nearby empty container depot enables logistics companies to maximize transport efficiency by balancing laden and empty container flows between TCHP and factories in the area. It allows shipping lines to manage empty equipment more proactively and conveniently while improving berth and yard utilization, ensuring operational quality and consistency.

This service marks a significant milestone for SITC Tan Cang Co., Ltd. (SITC Tan Cang) – a joint venture between Tan Cang Road Transport JSC (a member company of Saigon Newport Corporation) and SITC Shipping Lines. After many years of establishing a strong reputation in the field of empty container depot operations, SITC Tan Cang has boldly expanded into the shipping agency business, developing this new service sector through the event of receiving the vessel LIAN HE CAI FU – Voyage No. 25001S, operated by Hua Xin Container Lines, at TCHP.
