The Decision announcing the opening of Tan Cang – Moc Bai Dry Port, with a total area of 16.52 hectares,

The Decision announcing the opening of Tan Cang – Moc Bai Dry Port was issued by the Minister of Construction under Decision No. 1810/QD-BXD dated October 20th, 2025.

Tan Cang – Moc Bai Dry Port (TCMB) is located in the Moc Bai Border-Gate Economic Zone, Tay Ninh Province, and is invested by Tan Cang – Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company.

According to the Decision, which takes effect from the date of signing, Phase 1 of TCMB is situated on Road 6A, Ben Cau Commune, Tay Ninh Province, within the Moc Bai Border-Gate Economic Zone, and invested by Tan Cang – Tay Ninh JSC.

The dry port will be operated to provide cargo handling, logistics services, and customs procedures in accordance with Decision No. 38/2017/ND-CP dated April 4, 2017 of the Government on the investment, construction, management, and operation of dry ports, as well as in compliance with the Investment Certificate and Business Registration Certificate issued by competent authorities.

The Ministry of Construction requires Tan Cang – Tay Ninh JSC to fully perform its responsibilities and obligations as a port operator under Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and other relevant legal regulations; to operate the dry port for the right purposes, in accordance with each investment phase, and to ensure safety, security, fire and explosion prevention, and environmental protection.

The Vietnam Maritime Administration and the Vietnam Inland Waterway Administration are assigned to inspect and supervise the operation of Tan Cang – Moc Bai Dry Port in compliance with Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and relevant legal documents.

Tan Cang – Moc Bai Dry Port, invested by Tan Cang – Tay Ninh JSC, a member company of Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), is located in the Moc Bai Border-Gate Economic Zone, Ben Cau District, Tay Ninh Province, covering an area of approximately 16.52 hectares with a total investment capital of over VND 550 billion.

Commencing construction in November 2023, Phase 1 of the project has now been completed, enabling on-site customs clearance, warehousing, consolidation, and transshipment of import and export containers right at the border. The operation of the dry port will significantly shorten customs clearance time, reduce congestion at Moc Bai International Border Gate, and optimize logistics costs for enterprises.

Saigon Newport Corporation has invested in TCMB with a synchronized infrastructure system, including container yards, CFS warehouses, vehicle storage areas, rubber-tyred gantry cranes, forklifts, and modern trailers. The port is capable of receiving and handling large cargo volumes from Cambodia, directly connected to the seaport system of Ho Chi Minh City and the Cai Mep – Thi Vai port cluster, forming an important cross-border logistics corridor for the Southeast region.

Strategically located on the East–West Economic Corridor, Tan Cang – Moc Bai Dry Port is expected to become a key Vietnam–Cambodia border logistics hub, contributing to the development of the Moc Bai Border-Gate Economic Zone, and promoting trade, services, and investment in the border region in the coming years.
