
Delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Poland visited Saigon Newport Corporation

On the afternoon of March 27, in Ho Chi Minh City, a delegation from the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Poland, led by Mr. Konrad Golota, Deputy Minister of State Assets of the Republic of Poland, paid a visit to Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) to learn about its operations.
The delegation was welcomed by Colonel Dang Thanh Minh, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of National Defense; Colonel Bui Van Quy, Deputy General Director of SNP; along with representatives from the Ministry of National Defense’s Foreign Relations Department and various departments and units of SNP.

The Polish Ministry of National Defense delegation included members of the Defense Committee of the Polish House of Representatives, the Chairman of the Poland-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary
Group, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), experts from the Ministry of State Assets, specialists from PGZ, and members of the Poland-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group.

In his remarks during the meeting, Colonel Bui Van Quy stated: "In 2024, SNP successfully fulfilled its production and business targets with record-breaking achievements. The throughput reached nearly 11 million TEUs, revenue exceeded VND 32 trillion, and profits reached VND 7 trillion. Key performance indicators, including throughput, revenue, profit, and average employee income, all achieved double-digit growth compared to both the 2024 plan and 2023 performance. Notably, profits surpassed the 2024 plan by 27% and increased by 32.5% compared to 2023."

In July 2024, SNP held a meeting with the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Ho Chi Minh City and representatives from the Port of Gdańsk. During the meeting, both sides discussed potential connections between logistics enterprises in the two countries. In November 2024, SNP was honored to be a speaker at the Vietnam-Poland Trade Promotion Workshop organized by the Port of Gdańsk. The workshop focused on sharing experiences in developing logistics models aligned with national defense duties and attracted significant attention from numerous international businesses.

During the meeting, various discussions were held regarding the cooperation opportunities and an in-depth understanding of SNP’s organizational structure and business operations. Mr. Konrad Golota expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and candid exchanges from SNP representatives. He emphasized that this event holds significant importance, contributing to the strengthening and deepening of the excellent cooperative relationship between the two nations. It also opens up opportunities for collaboration in the fields of maritime economy, transportation, and logistics.
