09/10/2020

In the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the global economy has not completely recovered. The successful attraction and promotion of service routes for shipping lines is the result of coordination between the MKT Department with the leaders of TCHP port as well as staff and employees working at the port. This also proves ONE and its customers' trust in the port's services, affirming TCSG's position and reputation in the port operation market in Vietnam..

In the context of the Covid-19 epidemic affecting the port operation and related industries, Tan Cang Hiep Phuoc Port (TCHP) always maintains effective production in parallel with strict epidemic control and prevention. At the same time, TCHP ensures adequate, modern equipment ready to receive and exploit large vessels, improve handling productivity, and provide the best service quality to meet up with the diverse demand of its customers. The continuous improvement of TCHP port's handling capacity has helped shipping lines save significant time and costs when their vessels arriving at the port for cargo delivery. Specifically, on 22/09/2020, CHP achieved the highest record of handling capacity of 118 containers/hour/vessel when unloading a total of 1,679 containers (equivalent to 2,430 TEUs) for HAYDN ships of ONE. The HAYDN vessel was 222m in length and 29.8m in width, with a tonnage of 37,000 DWT, a carrying capacity of over 2,700 Teus; the size is comparably larger than those docked in HCMC. This is an ad-hoc trip of ONE mainly to serve the needs for empty containers, cargo packaging in Ho Chi Minh City, and surrounding areas.

With a commitment to consistent service quality with TCCL, TCHP has incentives for ad-hoc container ships’ fees transporting cargoes and empty containers between TCHP and TCCL, applicable from 10/2020 to 02/2021. Cargoes are guaranteed to be delivered promptly under the commitments to shipping lines. Additionally, customers also receive active support in customs procedures with no additional costs required. This confirms that TC Hiep Phuoc is not only an extension branch of TCCL but also a reliable, independent choice for customers and shipping lines.

In the first 8 months of 2020, ONE has a total throughput through SNP’s port system of 912,406 Teus, increased 14% over the same period, ranked first among 10 shipping lines with the highest volume in the whole SNP’s system.

In the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, the global economy has yet recovered completely, the success in attracting and promoting service routes for shipping lines is the result of coordination between the MKT Department with TCHP Port’s leader as well as officers and employees working at the port. This is also proof of the trust and support of ONE shipping line and its customers in the port services, affirming SNP's position and prestige in the port operation segment in Vietnam.
