Saigon Newport Corporation introduces online procedure and payment for receipt and delivery container via eport

In order to enhance the service quality and customers’ satisfaction, Saigon Newport Corporation has started to imply the program of online procedure and payment for receipt and delivery container at Tan Cang – Cat Lai terminal via Eport application since January 2016. The program was officially gone live from March, 2016.

E-port is the program that SNP designed to support customers with online procedure and payment for receipt and delivery container. This program is provided completely free of charge and bring benefits for customers such as:
 
  • Save time, cut cost: Customer need just 02 minutes to complete the registration procedure for lifting on/off a container or consignment of containers.
  • Be active in their financial and plan. SNP support information changes of consignment of containers/ container number, even if the transaction is completed.
  • Be secure, tightly control, reduce risk of cash loss. All transactions are saved in Eport system and released Electronic Invoice.
  • Transactions are safe, convenient, fast and accurately through 28 banking networks in NAPAs.
  • Good support policy, attractive discount (0.2%), discount 1% of transaction fee and 1,600 VND / transaction.
  • Declare VGM (Verified Gross Mass) via E-port (from 01/7/2016)

After nearly a year of deploying the services of "online procedures and payment via eport" there are now 60% of export customers registered for gate-in container via E-port.

In order to constantly improve and enhance the quality of service, providing customers with modern facilities in doing procedures at Tan Cang - Cat Lai terminal, implement the solution to reduce traffic congestion of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and prepare the requirement of online procedure for gate-in containers from 01st January, 2017 and onward, SNP held the meeting to introduce online procedures and payment for receipt and delivery containers via E-port in 15th and 16th December, 2016 at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal. There were 400 customers from import/ export companies, logistics and forwarding companies and transporting companies attended the meeting to listen to the guidance on carry out online procedures and payment via E-port system. Besides, representative of the Maritime Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Maritime Bank) also introduced the benefits of online payment via the most modern domestic cards and electronic banking, and VNPT representative introduced electronic invoice.



Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Minh Thuan – SNP Deputy General Director thanked customers who have always support SNP during the past, he also emphasized the utilities that the program offers, as well as commit to improve and enhance service quality, simplify the port procedures and ensure the quality of the program and timely support and solve arising problems for customers using E-port. SNP will continue to work with shipping lines to connect and exchange information to increase the number of customers using online procedures for import containers and proceed to the online procedures for other containers’ operation at port.

The FQAs at the end of the meeting has been very exciting and customers are satisfied with the answers. The attending customers highly appreciate the continuous improvements of SNP to increase the utility for customers and expressed the willing to support SNP in implementing online procedures and payment via E-port in the coming time.
