Saigon Newport Corporation formally established SNP Logistics (SNPL) in July 2012 which is performing the function of connecting and optimizing the advantages of the port system, depot and ICD of the SNP. The capacity through out SNP are waterway transportation (over 50 barges), inland transportation (over 200 tractors), modern technology management TOPX, TOPO as real-time, plentiful human resources experience, ... SNPL offer customers a full logistics service such as river/sea transport, road, rail, air and multimodal transportation, that is providing customers with high-value logistics solutions as costs saving and enhancing competitiveness of Vietnamese commodities in both domestic and global markets.
Vietnam’s logistics is a promising development industry, but it is not really commensurate with its potential. In the last 2 decades, Vietnam's logistics industry has the new positive changes with rapid growth from infrastructure (seaports, waterways/ inland transportation, air ...) to superstructural (the legal system of logistics). The logistics service providers in the country has grown in both quantity and quality. According to WTO commitments in 2014, Vietnam will completely open logistics market and Vietnam logistics’ enterprises should be strong enough to compete freely and fairly with multinational logistics companies. We are realizing this is a challenge but also an opportunity for the development of enterprise, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) as the leading port operators in Vietnam has invested and developed logistics services as a second core business.
