Tan Cang – Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal Reaches the Milestone of 1,000,000 TEUs for the Second Consecutive Year

On October 27, 2025, at Tan Phuoc Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, Tan Cang – Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal (TCTT) – a member of Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) – proudly welcomed its 1,000,000th TEU, 45 days earlier than in 2024. This remarkable achievement marks a significant milestone in celebration of the terminal’s 10th anniversary (October 30, 2015 – October 30, 2025).
The event took place during the handling of the OOCL BANGKOK vessel, operating on the AWE4/USEC2 service, which directly connects Vietnam to ports on the U.S. East Coast.
This milestone reaffirms TCTT’s strong position within the Cai Mep – Thi Vai deep-water port cluster and highlights its operational excellence, service quality, and efficiency.

In 2025, TCTT continues to play a strategic gateway role for Vietnam’s southern region, facilitating direct connections to the Americas and Europe, reducing logistics costs, and enhancing the nation’s trade competitiveness.

The BOD of TCTT thanked the OOCL Bangkok Vessel's captain and crew with flowers and gifts.
A representative from the TCTT Management Board emphasized: “Achieving the 1,000,000 TEU milestone for the second consecutive year demonstrates TCTT’s capability, determination, and sound development strategy – under the close guidance and leadership of the Party Committee and Command of the 20th Corps – Saigon Newport Corporation. The result also reflects the strong support from local authorities, partners, and all SNP units. This accomplishment is especially meaningful as it coincides with TCTT’s 10th anniversary, marking the beginning of a new, proud chapter of growth.”
