Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai terminal welcomes the maiden call Awes/Ise service to the port

On the afternoon of January 6, at Phu My town (Ba Ria - Vung Tau province), Tan Cang - Cai Mep Thi Vai terminal (TCTT), Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) and representatives of COSCO Vietnam and OOCL shipping lines. Vietnam held a ceremony to welcome the maiden call Gottfried Schulte operated on the Awes/Ise service line for the first time.
Attending the ceremony to welcome the new service line were delegates: Senior Captain Phung Ngoc Minh, Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation; Mr. Miao Guang Feng, General Director of Cosco Vietnam Shipping Lines; Mr. James Chou, General Director of Oocl Vietnam Shipping Lines; representatives of the authorities of SNP and all officers and employees of TCTT.
This is a weekly service with a fleet capacity of 8 ships, operating on the voyage from Cai Mep to the East coast of the US through the Suez Canal, providing weekly service with Eta/Etd Cai Mep on Fridays /Saturday. Transit time from Cai Mep to New York is 31 days, Norfolk is 33 days, and Boston is 36 days. With such a journey, Awes/Ise is an added service line that adds new options in line with customers' import and export plans. According to the designed voyage, ships operating on the Awes line will call at Mundra port before arriving at ports in the US, so goods can be transported directly from Cai Mep to India with only 10 days of transit. This is one of the outstanding advantages of the new service.
This is the 5th service to cooperate with TCTT, becoming an important link in the transport chain of COSCO/OOCL shipping lines, and contributing to increased value and quality of customer services.
The close cooperation between TCTT and major shipping lines in the world, including COSCO/OOCL, has demonstrated the professional port operation capability of the SNP system, along with the maximum support of relevant departments and agencies in creating smooth conditions for operation and business activities at TCTT. Since then, TCTT has become an important link in connecting goods between Vietnam and major markets in the world, contributing to the sustainable development of the country's trade.
