In the first quarter of 2021, the Covid-19 pandemic still has many unpredictable changes, affecting enterprise activities searching for the best solutions to connect supply chains for import and export in the South. Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal (TCHP) can still maintain operation activities along with pandemic control during such a situation. TCHP is constantly improving handling productivity (with the highest record of up to 118 containers/hour/vessel), investing in infrastructure to welcome and operate large vessels, up to 50,000 DWT. After the dredging of Soai Rap channel in January 2021, the navigational access channel has reached minus 9m, the berth depth of TCHP's terminal has reached minus 11.3 m

With the current capacity, in the first quarter of 2021 – TCHP has welcomed three new shipping lines, including NINGBO OCEAN SHIPPING (NBOS) and CU Lines Vietnam (the alliance operates CV1 / CVX); ZHONGGU (operating line CV1). These events enhance the importance of TCHP in the solution connecting intra-Asia import and export goods, especially those between Vietnam and China.

TCHP perceived as the best extension area for Tan Cang - Cat Lai Terminal (TCCL) and Cai Mep Port Cluster in delivery/drop-off and consolidating reefer containers. Moreover, TCHP has applied the most optimal solutions of time and cost-saving for regular services here as following:
  1. No limit time for the early dropping off
  2. Free storage
  3. Free barging between TCHP and TCCL/associated ICD for international container vessels at TCHP
  4. Free barging for empty containers from TCCL to TCHP for stuffing and loading onto vessels  at TCHP
  5. In particular, according to the new policy effective from April 1, 2021 (under TB No: 535/TCg-KHKD): free 12-hours operation charge for reefer containers dropped at TCHP then transported and loaded at TCCL

Moreover, TCHP has the advantage of strategic location - 10km away from Ho Chi Minh City, right in Hiep Phuoc Industrial Park and close to frozen warehouses (Lotte warehouse, Alpha, Dory, Saigon Food factory ...). Along with the increasing exports of Vietnam's essential products, which resonates with its rapid development, TCHP has become a connection hub and a favourite place for goods clearance in the South of Ho Chi Minh city and Mekong Delta area. With stable empty container volumes from major shipping lines: Cosco, TSL, Wanhai, OOCL, One .... TCHP is currently one of the best choices for reefer services (seafood products, fruits, ...) of big customers such as Binh Dinh Seafood, Ca Mau Seafood, GN Food, Nha Trang Seafood, Hung Truong Phat….
