Tan Cang – STC and college students program “I work and i understand”

With orientation from Saigon Newport Corporation’s management and consultation from representative of STC Group in Vietnam, Tan Cang – STC Human Resource Development Ltd.,Co (Tan Cang – STC) has flexibly adapted to new normalcy in deploying online and offline training courses.
The global economy is still badly affect by complication of the Covid-19, including Vietnam. Therefore, changes to the new routines are compulsory to each and every individual to adjust to current difficulties. With orientation from Saigon Newport Corporation’s management and consultation from representative of STC Group in Vietnam, Tan Cang – STC Human Resource Development Ltd.,Co (Tan Cang – STC) has flexibly adapted to new normalcy in deploying online and offline training courses.
With mission “I work and I understand”, Tan Cang – STC sets its role in teaching students to understand port operation, cargo handling procedures as well as transportation process and logistics supply chain. In June and July, when Vietnam did not report any community infection cases, Tan Cang – STC organized over 50 “Real-life experience at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal” courses, over 30 “Import Export Overview” courses, 9 road trips to ICD Tan Cang - Long Binh.

All courses received earnest participation from over 700 students of Hoa Sen University, Ton Duc Thang University, Industry and Trade College, Tra Vinh University... During the courses, students were introduced to Saigon Newport Corporation, and operation procedures at Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal, the biggest and most modern container terminal in Vietnam. Besides, students also practiced real cargo handling procedure and online interactive games. To improve their knowledge, students experienced freight forwarding stimulation system, the only state-of-the-art stimulation system in Vietnam directly transferred from STC Netherlands – the maritime training center, with practical and useful context such as: forwarding, trucking, beer game, DC in – DC out...

Forming from the long and prospective relationship between SNP and STC Group ,Netherlands, Tan Cang – STC focuses on short courses about maritime transport and logistics, which is a rapid growing field. Carrying the mission to “Educate, Train, Consult and Manage Human Resource of International Standard”, Tan Cang – STC works to bring specialized training solution to meet the field’s requirements and shorten the educational gap between schools and companies.
