Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province is considered one of the three key growth poles of Vietnam's southern key economic region. The Cai Mep-Thi Vai Port Complex (CM-TV) serves as a strategic gateway connecting Vietnam to the world, situated on a vital international shipping route linking Northeast Asia, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, and North America.

Possessing a long-term strategic outlook, SNP embarked on its pioneering journey in the region almost 20 years ago, becoming the first to operate a deep-water port in Vietnam with the Tan Cang - Cai Mep Container Terminal (TCCT) project. The maiden call of the M/V MOL Premium in 2009 (LOA 294m and 73,000 DWT), the largest vessel to call Vietnam’s port at that time, underscored the company's commitment to connecting Vietnam to global maritime networks.

Our dedication to connection and cooperation drives sustainable development in Vietnam and the regional maritime sector

To date, the Cai Mep - Thi Vai (CM-TV) port complex has experienced remarkable growth and expansion, encompassing ports such as SITV (2011), Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT - 2009), CMIT (2011), Tan Cang Cai Mep ODA Terminal (2014, the predecessor of TCTT), SSIT (2014), and Gemalink (2021). This complex has emerged as one of Southeast Asia's most modern and dynamic port clusters, ranking 7th globally in the Container Port Performance Index (CPPI) as announced by the World Bank and S&P Global Market Intelligence in June 2024.
Specifically, our Tan Cang Cai Mep deep-water port cluster, comprising TCIT, TCIT, and TCTT, has handled a total throughput of 25 million TEUs and served over 8,000 mother vessels by 2024, collaborating with the world's top 30 shipping lines and connecting to 50 major ports worldwide.

The outstanding development of the CM-TV area, especially the Tan Cang Cai Mep deep-water port cluster (TCCT, TCIT and TCTT), is attributed to the strong support of our partners and customers. SNP is dedicated to fostering these partnerships, delivering exceptional services to meet our customers' evolving needs and contributing to the region's growth.

“The Future We Share!” – A Commitment to Sustainable Values and Practices

As the global economy becomes more intricate and uncertain, SNP reaffirms the commitment to collaborating with our valued partners. With a 35-year history of reliable service, we are dedicated to:
  • Customer-centric positioning is the heart of our operations: We are committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences. By conducting regular customer satisfaction surveys and organizing appreciation events, we strive to continuously improve our services at Cai Mep ports.
  • By expanding our capacity to accommodate larger vessels (TCIT and TCTT are enhancing capabilities to accommodate 160,000 DWT vessels and 14,000 TEU vessels) and optimizing the SNP’s port - logistics ecosystem, we are committed to providing our shipping lines and customers with efficient and cost-effective solutions. Our joint efforts in the cooperation between TCTT and CMIT (the operation of berth B3), demonstrate our dedication to meeting the evolving needs of the maritime industry.
  • Addressing the growing demand for green and digital transformation in the supply chain and logistics sector, we are committed to optimizing processes through digital technologies, enhancing equipment utilization, and developing integrated waterway-road transport solutions. Our fleet of barges serves 80% of the cargo transportation connecting the CM-TV port complex with neighboring regions, including the Mekong Delta, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Cambodia, contributing to reduced emissions.
