On July 1st 2010, the JV Contract Signing Ceremony to establish Tan Cang - STC human resources development Company Ltd was held solemnly at the head office of STC Group in Rotterdam -Netherlands.
On July 1st 2010, the JV Contract Signing Ceremony to establish Tan Cang- STC human resources development Company Ltd was held solemnly at the head office of STC Group in Rotterdam -Netherlands. The representatives of both parties attended the Ceremony: Mr. Nguyen Dang Nghiem - SNP’s General Director of, Mr. Tran Khanh Hoang- SNP’s Deputy General Director, Mr. Phung Ngoc Minh- SNP’s Financial Director and Mr. Bui Van Quy- SNP’s Marketing Director, Mr. Erik Hietbrink - Chairman cum CEO and the key directors of STC Group. Especially, Mr. Jan Kok- representative of the Dutch Economic Ministry and Mr. Huynh Minh Chinh- the Vietnamese ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary in Netherlands have also been present at the Ceremony.
Tan Cang- STC human resources development Company Ltd is the joint venture of Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) and the STC BV (Netherlands). Total investment amount of the Company is 1,395,000 Euro including the chartered capital and the amount of mony sponsored by the Dutch Government. The chartered capital of the company is 697,500 Euro- SNP and STC each contributes 348,750 Euro to the chartered capital accounting for 50%. The Jont Venture term is 30 years.
The Dutch Government approved a subsidy for 50 percent (Euro 697,500) to Tan Cang- STC of the total project budget. The objective of the Investment program by the Dutch Government is to stimulate sustainable economic growth in upcoming and developing economies by supporting innovative investment projects for Dutch companies working together with local companies in these markets. This is a unique project since a (commercially operating) port education and training centre in accordance with international standards has not yet been established in Vietnam.
The head office and training centre of the company locates at Cat Lai Terminal, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. The target of the company is to supply the human resources and training services to the ever increasing port and Logistics infrastructural developments in Vietnam. The Centre will be recognized as a high quality institute with a strong international dimension and accreditation where the knowledge for all aspects of the Transport Chain including a modern port and logistic training and education systems, state-of-the-art Training Simulator and training centre providing specific education and training for port and transport managers, supervisors, logistic and supply chain managers and operational staff, blue and white collar. The establishment of Tan Cang- STC shall meet the increased demand for professionally certified people working in the port and port related industries, logistics activities including hinterland transport and multi-modal transport in line with the strategic plan of Vietnamese Government for the development of sea economic fields up until the year of 2020 and the later.
