The visit of canadian high-ranking delegation to Saigon Newport Company (16/01/2009)

On Thursday January 15, 2009 the high-ranking business Delegation of Canada led by the Honourable ANGUS MACISAAC- Minister responsible for the Atlantic gateway initiatives of Canada paid a visit to Saigon Newport Company. On behafl of Vietnam Port Association (VPA) and Saigon Newport Company (SNP), Mr.Nguyễn Đăng Nghiêm-General Director of Saigon Newport Company and Mr.Hồ Kim Lân-Secretary General of Vietnam Port Association warmly welcomed the Delegation at Cat Lai Port. At the meeting, Mr.Hồ Kim Lân made a short presentation on economic situation, operation and projects of Ports in Vietnam. Many questions about Port system develpoment in Vietnam, during the meeting, were raised by the Delegation’s members and it were answered by representatives of VPA and SNP. On behafl of SNP, Mr.Nguyễn Đăng Nghiêm provided Honourable Minister and the Delegation with information about the operational activities of Saigon Newport Company and would to cooperate with Canadian companies not only in sea Port term but also in training. At the end of the meeting, the Honourable Minister expressed His sincere thanks for warm welcome and valuable information provided by representatives of VPA and SNP and hoped that, the cooperaion between enterprises of Vietnam and Canada will be enhanced in the time to come, especially in Nova Scotia Region.
