To promote the potential capacity of import-export trade in Ha Tinh province, Laos-Vietnam International Port - Vung Ang(Ha Tinh) continues to welcome Tan Cang Shipping's service vessels. These vessels serve to connect import-export cargo from the North-South to the central provinces and vice versa.
Within less than 7 days, new handling records per mother vessel at TCIT have been continuously set, starting with 14,235 TEUs on MEISHAN BRIDGE on 10 Jun 2021, then experiencing the record-breaking trend while exceeding the previous one with 15,800 TEUs on MONACO BRIDGE at 01:00 on 19 Jun 2021. This is also recorded as the highest volume per vessel ever handled in Vietnam, making an important contribution to affirm and enhance the position of Vietnam's seaport industry in general and Cai Mep - Thi Vai deep-water port area together with TCIT in particular.
At 18:00 on 10/06/2021, TCIT set a new highest handling record per mother vessel with the total handling volume of 14,235 TEUs on MEISHAN BRIDGE, in which 7,014 TEUs of discharging and 7,221 TEUs of loading. This is such a remarkable milestone not only for TCIT in particular but also for the seaport industry and Vietnam's economy in general, while global economies and sea freight transport since the beginning of the year have been still heavily affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, serious port congestion in the US as well as the Suez Canal incident recently.
