Saigon Newport Corporation participates in the VALOMA Job Fair and the series of events celebrating the establishment of the Dak Lak Logistics and Seaport Association

On May 7, 2026, at Tay Nguyen University, Dak Lak Province, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) participated in the VALOMA – Dak Lak Job Fair 2026, contributing to strengthening connectivity among enterprises, training institutions, and young human resources in the fields of logistics, seaports, and supply chains.

The VALOMA – Dak Lak Job Fair 2026 was one of the key activities in the series of programs launching the logistics ecosystem in Dak Lak, organized by the Vietnam Logistics Human Resources Development Association (VALOMA) and the Dak Lak Logistics and Seaport Association (DLP). The program featured direct recruitment activities, networking sessions, and the thematic panel discussion “Human Resource Development – Shaping the Future,” aiming to connect logistics, transportation, seaport, and supply chain enterprises with universities, students, young people, and workers in the Central Highlands region.

The event brought together more than 400 university and high school students, along with 40 booths from logistics, transportation, import-export enterprises, and logistics human resource training institutions. The program attracted strong interest from students and young people in the Central Highlands, creating opportunities for learners to gain practical exposure to the industry, explore internship and employment opportunities, and shape their career development path in the modern logistics sector.

At the event, SNP introduced its production and business activities based on five key pillars: port operations; logistics services; shipping and maritime economic sectors; investment and operation of industrial parks and free trade zones; sea and island tourism; and renewable energy development. In addition, SNP presented the Corporation’s vocational training facilities, covering container port operations, shipping, inland waterway transport, ICDs, depots, warehousing, logistics services, integrated supply chain solutions, and logistics-related training courses. The event also provided an opportunity for SNP to promote the image of a leading defense-economic enterprise in Vietnam’s seaport and logistics sector, while approaching, connecting with, and providing career orientation for young human resources who wish to develop their careers in the industry.

Within the framework of the program, the thematic panel discussion “Human Resource Development – Shaping the Future” brought together experts, enterprises, and training institutions to analyze industry development trends, human resource demand, and solutions to improve training quality, thereby contributing to the realization of the orientation for developing high-quality logistics human resources.

Mr. Nguyen Khieu Anh, Vice Director of SNP’s Marketing Department, speaking at the thematic panel discussion “Human Resource Development – Shaping the Future”

At the panel discussion, Mr. Nguyen Khieu Anh, Vice Director of SNP’s Marketing Department, clearly highlighted the practical strengths of the seaport system in bringing agricultural products from the Central Highlands to global markets, while sharing practical perspectives on current human resource demand in the seaport and logistics industry. He emphasized that logistics today is an industry driven by technology, intelligence, and global opportunities; therefore, employment opportunities are open to all students, regardless of gender or geographical background. In addition to professional knowledge, young human resources need to be equipped with digital skills, green thinking, and the ability to adapt to a high-intensity supply chain operating environment. Insights from practical port operations, logistics management, and import-export customer service helped students gain a clearer understanding of enterprise recruitment needs, enabling them to proactively prepare the competencies required by the labor market.

The VALOMA – Dak Lak Job Fair 2026 was part of the series of activities celebrating the First Congress for the establishment of the Dak Lak Logistics and Seaport Association for the 2026–2030 term. This was a particularly meaningful event, not only marking the establishment of the official representative organization for the logistics and seaport business community in Dak Lak Province, but also opening a new stage of development for the local logistics sector in the process of integration and regional connectivity.

In the context where logistics increasingly serves as the “soft infrastructure” of the economy, the First Congress for the establishment of the Dak Lak Logistics and Seaport Association for the 2026–2030 term represents a strategic step toward forming a focal point for connecting, coordinating, and guiding the business community. This contributes to reducing logistics costs, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting the development of supply chains in the Central Highlands in connection with the South Central Coast and the Southeast region.

Notably, as Vietnam’s logistics sector enters a new stage of development, May 6 every year has been proposed and has received in-principle approval from the Prime Minister to be designated as “Vietnam Logistics Day.” This milestone is associated with Decree No. 61 dated May 6, 1946, signed by President Ho Chi Minh on the organization of the Ministry of National Economy. The establishment of Vietnam Logistics Day not only honors the nearly 80-year tradition of formation and development of the sector, but also reflects the strategic orientation of enhancing the role of logistics in national economic growth, promoting supply chain connectivity, and developing green, smart, and sustainable logistics. This is also an important driving force for the logistics business community nationwide in general, and Dak Lak Province in particular, to strengthen connectivity, innovation, and deeper integration in the new stage of development.

On that basis, the Congress set out the development orientation for the 2026–2030 term, aiming to build the Association into a strong, professional, and transparent “common home,” serving as a trusted bridge between enterprises and state management agencies, as well as among enterprises themselves. The Association will focus on promoting regional connectivity; developing modern, green, and sustainable logistics; accelerating digital transformation and the application of advanced technologies; supporting enterprises in reducing costs and improving competitiveness; and gradually participating more deeply in regional and global supply chains. On behalf of SNP, Mr. Nguyen Khieu Anh, Deputy Director of the Marketing Department, participated as a member of the Association’s Executive Committee for the 2026–2030 term, demonstrating SNP’s strong interest in the logistics market of the Central Highlands and the South Central Coast provinces.

With the message “Integrated Logistics: One Value Chain – One Vision” the Congress is expected to generate strong momentum, contributing to the formation of a dynamic, innovative, socially responsible, and internationally integrated logistics business community, making practical contributions to the socio-economic development of Dak Lak Province in the new period.

Through activities connecting with associations, universities, and students, SNP aims to contribute to building a young workforce with professional knowledge, practical skills, and occupational resilience, meeting the requirements of international integration, digital transformation, and sustainable development in the seaport and logistics sector. SNP’s presence at the VALOMA – Dak Lak Job Fair 2026 not only opened up internship, recruitment, and career orientation opportunities for students, but also affirmed the Corporation’s role in accompanying the development of Vietnam’s logistics human resources in the new stage.
