Saigon Newport Corporation welcomes H.R.H. The prince of orange willem-alexander and representatives of dutch companies to visit Tan Cang - Cat Lai terminal

On March 30, 2011 Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) was honored to welcome H.R.H. the Prince of Orange Willem-Alexander visited Tan Cang - Cat Lai terminal. The Prince was accompanied by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, Mr. Joop Atsma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Joop Scheffers and more than 60 representatives of Dutch companies in the fields of water, agriculture, transportation, marine and oil and gas.

The Prince was accompanied by the State Secretary at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment, Mr. Joop Atsma, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mr. Joop Scheffers and more than 60 representatives of Dutch companies in the fields of water, agriculture, transportation, marine and oil and gas. The visit is a part of the official visit of the Royal Dutch delegations to Vietnam from March 28 to March 31, 2011.
Speaking at the reception, Colonel Nguyen Dang Nghiem, General Director of SNP, mentions to diplomatic relations and strengthened cooperation between two countries and thanked to the tremendous support the Dutch government to Vietnam in the fields of environment, biology, education, training, health, and social management. Currently, Saigon Newport Corporation Group cooperated with STC group to establish Newport - STC Vocational Training Center which educates and trains in the fields of seaport and international logistics in Vietnam. This project belongs to the program of encourage sustainable economic growth for emerging and developing economies of the Dutch government. Newport - STC Vocational Training Center is being built at Tan Cang - Cat Lai terminal, and will go into operation in the third quarter this year with the main business activities including education and training in maritime and logistics, human resources development, employment promotion, terminal operations consultancy for individuals and companies.
Mr. Nguyen Dang Nghiem also prided to inform H.R.H the Prince of Orange and the delegations achievements that SNP has achieved in recent years, which contributed by the big contribution of the Dutch companies. In this "customers year 2011, " SNP implements the slogan of 4Cs, “Customers’ Care 24/7, Communicating Politely, Convenience In Delivery and Cost Reduction”, widens logistics network across the focal economic areas of the country and hopes to further cooperation with Dutch companies in the areas of terminal operators, maritime transportation economy, education and training. Mr. Nguyen Dang Nghiem also hopes the visit will leave an impression to the H.R.H the Prince of Orange and Dutch companies and is an opportunity for SNP to promote the image and branding of an Economy - Military enterprise as well as a leading container terminal operator in Vietnam to the Government and the Royal Netherlands. The visit of H.R.H the Prince of Orange and the delegations ended at the same day.
