SNP organized the Second traditional Golf tournament 2009 (23/11/2009)

On 20th November 2009, Saigon Newport had organized the second Friendship Golf Tournament at Long Thanh Golf Club & Residential Estate – Lake Course with the total prize of more than $60,000. Attending the event was 90 golfers being General Directors, Chief Representatives and key managers from shipping lines/agents in HCM City; Forwarders, Customers, Authorities of HCM City and Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, the Border Guards, Vung Tau Port Authority and Maritime Safety Company No. II. The total number of golfers this year was three times larger than that of 2008 and players were divided into three Divisions A-B-C and 23 Groups. The Prizes Structure is very diversified and impressive. Beside the Souvenirs Gift of Organization Board, there are so many other prizes such as: Nearest to the pin, Longest Drive, One Prize of Charming Golfer. The Special Prize for Hole-in-one is 1 BMW Car – 3 series, 320i costing nearly 60,000$.

The Golf Tournament took place ebulliently from 11:00 to 17:15. Winners of the event were as follows: “Gross Championship” for Mr. Oy Yang (Managing Director of Cosco HongKong); First Runner-ups for Mr. Lê Hữu Trung (Deputy General Manager of APL – NOL Vietnam Ltd.), Mr. Nguyễn Mạnh Hùng (Official of Hochiminh City Customs Office) and Mr. Jimmy Lim (General Director of Jardine Shipping Services). The Awards Ceremony and intimate party held at the Head Office of Saigon Newport is the sincere gratefulness of the company to shipping lines/agents for their strong support and good co-operation in the past time in spite of the difficulties of 2008.
