TCIT hits a new record of 197 moves per hour.

On April 08th 2013, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) has made the new record of 197.71 moves per hour in Vietnam for the M/V MOL Advantage V.072 E-073W belonging to SVS service (Asia – South U.S service), breaking the latest of 190 moves per hour when serving the M/V MOL Progress on February 15th 2012.

2012 marked a significant milestone of TCIT’s development. Despite of the ailing economy in 2012, TCIT received 264 mother vessels with the throughput of 548,543 TEU which increased 97% in comparison with that of 2011 (excluded of the volume handled for barge). These figures prove that TCIT is the biggest terminal in Cai Mep with the market share of 58%. Especially in the first quarter of 2013, TCIT operated 69 mother vessels and achieved 148,391 TEU making an year on year of 55% accounting for 64% market share in this area.
