Welcomed the new Chairman of Saigon Newport Corporation

On the afternoon of April 8, in Ho Chi Minh City, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) held a conference to hand over the duties of the SNP's Chairman. Rear Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, Naval Commander in chief, attended and was directly handed over. Also attending were representatives of functional agencies of the Navy; the Board of Members; the Board of Directors; the Board of Supervisors and Commanding Officers of SNP.
According to the decision of the Minister of National Defense, Rear Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem, Commander of the Navy, resigned from the position of the Chairman of the Members' Council Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) and appointed Senior Captain Nguyen Nang Toan, Executive Vice President of SNP, to hold the position of the new Chairman from March 24, 2022.

At the handover ceremony, Rear Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem congratulated Mr. Nguyen Nang Toan for being trusted by leaders at all levels and appointed by the Ministry of National Defense to hold the position of Chairman. The Navy Commander also congratulated Saigon Newport Corporation for entering a new phase with a new recruitment organization, model and personnel for leadership and management.
In the coming time and the following years, Rear Admiral Tran Thanh Nghiem believes SNP will take advantage of this opportunity, promote all resources and traditions of the Hero of Labor unit with its prestige, brand and reputation as a national brand for sustainable development, and successfully complete assigned tasks.

The new Chairman of Saigon Newport Corporation - Senior Captain Nguyen Nang Toan affirmed to continue to maintain the pioneering spirit, leading the No. 1 position in Vietnam of port operator and logistics service, continuing to present the aspirations of previous generations, soon becoming a leading economic group in the field of marine economy and logistics services, and simultaneously opening a new development direction for SNP. He emphasized: “I am aware that the responsibility I receive today is a heavy, but also glorious task. I promise to do my best together with the Party Committee, the Board of General Directors, and all officers and employees in the whole system are determined, working together and united for the sustainable development of SNP and contributing to the common development of the country".
Senior Captain Nguyen Nang Toan was born in 1974, from Thai Binh province, with a Master's degree in shipping economics. Colonel Nguyen Nang Toan was Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation from September 2018 to present. He grew up from the staff of the Business Planning Department of Truong Sa Seafood Company. After that, he held many positions: Director of Tan Cang Warehousing JSC, Director of Port Operation Center, Director of SNP Logistics…
