Comprehensive logistics solutions for businesses at the Moc Bai International Border Gate

The event was attended by Mr. Truong Van Hung, Head of the Economic Zone Management Board of Tay Ninh Province; Mr. Phung Ngoc Minh, Deputy General Director of Saigon Newport Corporation; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Binh, Business Director of SITC Shipping Line; along with representatives from various agencies, shipping lines, import-export businesses, logistics companies, and associations.

Overview of the opening ceremony

Tan Cang Moc Bai Dry Port is located within the Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone, in Loi Thuan Commune, Ben Cau District, Tay Ninh Province, covering a total area of 16.52 hectares. The project is developed by Tan Cang Tay Ninh Joint Stock Company, with a total investment of VND 552 billion. It includes container yards, a CFS warehouse, customs control areas, truck and vehicle parking, and is equipped with modern facilities, including three RTG cranes (6+1), five empty and laden container handlers, 50 prime movers, and 50 trailers.

Initially, Tan Cang Tay Ninh will operate two hectares within the depot, utilizing newly invested equipment such as next-generation empty container handlers, high-speed internet, and an advanced communication system to ensure seamless operations at the ICD. A security surveillance camera system has also been installed to support customs and cargo monitoring. Additionally, Tan Cang Tay Ninh will implement the TTOTS software by TCIS for management and operations, aiming to enhance efficiency and digital transformation in port operations and logistics services.

Currently, SITC Shipping Line has opened codes alongside other SITC-TC-affiliated lines such as SNL, SJJ, NOS, ASL, and TCL. Following the commencement of depot operations, Tan Cang Tay Ninh will collaborate with shipping lines to optimize depot utilization. The company will also upgrade and improve the connecting road infrastructure, ensuring smooth traffic flow for vehicles transporting goods from Cambodia to Vietnam.

As a centralized customs clearance point, businesses can now complete customs procedures directly at Tan Cang Moc Bai Dry Port, significantly reducing processing times at border gates and seaports while improving the efficiency of import-export cargo inspections between Vietnam and Cambodia.

At a time when the demand for customs clearance is rising and frontline ports are experiencing space constraints, the presence of Tan Cang Moc Bai Dry Port, with its expansive storage areas and full dry port functionalities, will serve as an extended arm of major ports. This development will help alleviate congestion and waiting times at seaports and border gates, facilitating smoother international trade and providing domestic businesses with easier access to foreign markets.
