Haiphong international container terminal welcomed MS Asuka II

On 28 Nov, the Japanese cruise ship named MS ASUKA II arrived at Hai Phong International Container Terminal (HICT). This cruise ship sailed from Japan, bringing 528 international passengers and 486 crew members to Hai Phong.
Clearance procedures are completed shortly after the arrival. Then all passengers are taken to various landmarks such as: Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh), Bat Trang ceramic village (Hanoi), etc.
HICT is the only terminal in Hai Phong area that can accommodate the ASUKA II thanks to the long berth of 750 meters and the channel depth of -14 meters. ASUKA II is a top luxury cruise ship operated by NYK Cruise (Japan) with the length of 240 meters and the draft of -8 meters. The 50,142 tons ship has 08 stories with 480 full-service cabins with the capacity of 872-960 people. The upscale full-service ship facility are considered as a moving resort offers theater, bars, tea room, shops, casino, pools, cinema, gym, library, etc.
The event of welcoming the first cruise ship at HICT contributes to opening up opportunities for economic cooperation and cultural exchanges between Japanese provinces and cities in Northern Vietnam, creating a turning point in the tourism development in Hai Phong.
