On August 04th 2013, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal successfully held the ceremony of welcoming the maiden vessel “MOL BRAVERY” of CBE service. The service is exploited by MOL (Japan) with her rotation including Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Yokkaichi, Nagoya, Busan, Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Manila, and Tokyo.
This is the second Intra – Asia operated by MOL calling TCIT. We has now is received 07 vessels per week. The service diversification helps the importers and exporters at the neighboring areas such as Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Dong Nai more convenient and advantage in transporting their cargoes from/to the regions of East Coast U.S, West Coast U.S, Europe and Asia.
In the first 07 months of this year, TCIT served 168 mother vessels. Total throughput volume of TCIT reached 361,023 TEU which sharply increased by 26% equivalent to 74,120 TEU in comparison with that of the same period of last year. Average net productivity is always over 110 moves per hour. These are the good evidence that TCIT is the most dynamic terminal in Cai Mep area and keeps a highest market share of over 68% in this area.
