The launching ceremony of SITC Tan Cang Logistics Co.

On Sept 24, 2013, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) held a solemn launching ceremony of SITC Tan Cang Logistics Co. Being established in August 2013, the company is the joint venture between SITC Group (China) and the Saigon Newport Corporation.
SITC Tan Cang Logistics is providing empty container services, road freight service, freight agents services, warehousing services and maintenance & repairing services. With the charter capital of 6 (six) billion VND, the company is operating 15.000m2 of warehouse (phase 1) which is conveniently located about 500 meters away from gate B of Tan Cang - Cat Lai terminal. The company's headquarters is located at 216 Tran Nao Street, Block 2, Binh An Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City. HCM.
Advanced warehouse management software system is applied to manage inbound/outbound containers. Besides, wireless connecting equipment is installed on the forklifts so that forklift driver should be able to get the actual message manipulation on the forklifts’ screen, ensuring accuracy for input and output container in yards. Moreover, Electronic data interchange (EDI) is applied to transfer data between yard operators and shipping lines to provide timely and accurate management of container status.
In term of empty container supplying service, after receiving container, SITC Tan Cang staff would check container status ... and then based on the actual status, the container would be classified into type A, type B or type C. A container would be delivered to customers, depending on their needs. This method can satisfy the highest requirements of customers, improve the quality of container, and reduce the time of delivering container to customers.
