OOCL to raise westbound Asia-Europe rates

OOCL will increase rates for westbound traffic from Asia to Europe, starting April 15.
The hike will be $525 per 20-foot-equivalent unit and covers shipments from the Far East, including Japan, to North Europe, the Mediterranean and the Black Sea.
The carrier will also terminate its Montreal low water surcharge in light of improved water levels in the St. Lawrence River, starting April 1. German carrier Hapag-Lloyd is likewise ending its Montreal low water surcharge on April 1.
