TCIT – An environmentally friendly terminal and tending towards the community

Nowadays, the environmental pollution caused by the operations of ships and ports is commonly taking place in the many places all over the world. In this context, Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT) has invested the modern equipment operated by electricity in place of diesel fuel in order to reduce CO2 emission to the ecologically valuable environment.

Besides, TCIT has attached special importance to invest in the treatment and collection system of wastewater and garbage produced by the port operation as well as from all vessels calling at TCIT with a view to minimizing the environmental effects by our terminal.

From starting the officially operation up to now, TCIT is always holding fast the position of the most dynamic port with the highest market share in Cai Mep – Thi Vai deep-sea port system, reaching over 68% of market share in this area. Currently, TCIT has served 07 weekly mother vessels transporting cargoes from Cai Mep to other countries belonging to U.S East Coast, U.S West Coast, Europe and Asia.

In addition, TCIT has also served the feeders transporting the cargoes from Cai Mep to Hai Phong, Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Cambodia and the barges transporting shipments to neighboring provinces such as Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh, etc. and vice versa. Thanks to the power-driven equipment system, the energy consumption does not take place and the harmful emission to the environment is considerably reduced.

Furthermore, TCIT has always attained the high average net productivity of over 100 moves/hour with the purpose of meeting the target of quickly dispatching vessel in order to save the fuel cost for our customers and reduce the emission of diesel engines of vessels thanks to the timesaving operating at our terminal. Therefore, TCIT is not only bringing the best service quality to our customers but also making TCIT become the environmentally friendly terminal.
