Under the campaign "Saigon New Port - join hands to fight SARS-CoV-2 for public health", as of mid-April 2020, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) has sent over 94,800 antibacterial facemasks, 10,200 hand sanitizer bottles, and 150 anti-epidemic instruction posters to more than 580 shipping lines and customers, as gifts of gratitude from SNP, to accompany our shipping lines and customers in complying with the Government's regulations in enhancing personal hygiene (wear masks, regular hand hygiene, etc.) to keep their workforce, their families and our community safe..
The SARS-COV-2 pandemic has spread across the globe, becoming a global pandemic and greatly affecting the economic development of Vietnam and the world. As the leading port operator and provider of Logistics services in Vietnam, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) understands its responsibility and role to the community, shipping lines, customers, and other partners. SNP has always closely monitored the situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, plans scenarios, and plans to be able to respond promptly to the control and prevention of epidemics at all port and logistics facilities in SNP’s system. At the same time, SNP stays side by side with Our Shipping Lines and Customers; understand, share and take measures and policies to support customers in a timely manner to minimize negative impacts from SARS-COV-2 epidemic to the supply chain, import-export activities as well as ensure business activities of your enterprises.
On April 20th 2020, the Steering Committee for prevention and control of Covid-19 of SNP led by Lieutenant Colonel Vo Hoai Nam - Deputy General Director held a meeting to develop a disease prevention plan at Cat Lai port. Attending the meeting were Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, International Quarantine Center, Center for Disease Control of Chi Minh City and Preventive Medicine Center of District 2.

As Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam repeatedly stressed, “If we stand heartedly together, we will surely win the battle against Covid-19, as Vietnamese people have achieved victories during our history.” SNP have total faith in the management of Our Government and the Unity of Vietnamese People, together we will successfully control the epidemic, and get back to our normal life.
