Tan Cang – Cai Mep international terminal joint venture agreement signing ceremony

On Wednesday, February 04, 2009 Tan cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Joint Venture Agreement Signing Ceremony between Saigon Newport Company and 3 foreign partners including Hanjin Shipping Line (Korea), MOL (Japan) and Wanhai Line (Taiwan) was held at SNP’headquater.

On Wednesday, February 04, 2009 Tan cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Joint Venture Agreement Signing Ceremony between Saigon Newport Company and 3 foreign partners including Hanjin Shipping Line (Korea), MOL (Japan) and Wanhai Line (Taiwan) was held at SNP’headquater. This ceremony marks a great success for the establishment of the JV (Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal Co., Ltd) after a period of negotiation among parties The JV will manage and operate 600 m of berth length and 40 ha of CY of Tan Cang – Cai Mep Terminal Project, phase II. With chater capital of 39 million USD, the company shall operate in 30 years since the Business Registration Certificate is issued. This shall be the first deep seaport operational in Vietnam. The investment from the seaport field is recognized as the potentials for future growth invite Viet Nam as an emerging hub for Southeast Asia.
