Tan Cang – Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal Celebrates 10th Anniversary And Receives The Certificate Of Merit From The Prime Minister Of Vietnam

On October 30, 2025, Tan Cang – Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal Co., Ltd. (TCTT) — a member of Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) held a ceremony to commemorate its 10th Anniversary (October 30, 2015 – October 30, 2025) and to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister of Vietnam for its outstanding achievements and contributions.

Established on October 30, 2015, TCTT operates under SNP with the mission of expanding service networks and market share, while strengthening the brand position of SNP as Vietnam’s leading professional seaport operator.
Together with Tan Cang – Cai Mep Terminal and Tan Cang – Cai Mep International Terminal (TCIT), TCTT forms an integrated container terminal cluster within SNP’s deep-water port system at Cai Mep – Thi Vai, one of Vietnam’s key maritime gateways for international trade.


Over the past decade, TCTT has made strong and steady progress, affirming its role as a critical link in the global supply chain and demonstrating operational excellence, service quality, and reliability. Each container handled, each vessel berthed, and each operation performed at TCTT reflects the terminal’s commitment to efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the Prime Minister, Major General Ngo Minh Thuan, Commander of Corps 20 and Chairman of SNP, presented the Prime Minister’s Certificate of Merit to TCTT in recognition of its remarkable achievements over the past 10 years.

During the 2015–2025 period, TCTT handled a total throughput of 6.8 million TEUs, achieving a record vessel productivity of 168.8 containers/hour, and capturing nearly 18% of the container handling market share in the Cai Mep – Thi Vai area. The company ensures stable employment and competitive income for more than 200 employees, while maintaining an active role in social responsibility and community development initiatives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Ngo Minh Thuan, Commander of Corps 20, Chairman of SNP highly praised TCTT’s leadership, management team, and staff for their dedication and success: “The Party Committee and the Command of Corps 20 trust that the management and employees of TCTT will continue to uphold the proud traditions built over the past 10 years - advancing further, achieving stronger growth, and excellently fulfilling both defense and business missions. We encourage TCTT to maintain unity, stability, and close coordination with local authorities in all areas of operation.”

In his response, Mr. Pham Van Vuong, Chairman of TCTT, expressed deep gratitude to the leadership of SNP and Corps 20 for their continued guidance and support, as well as appreciation to all generations of employees for their unwavering commitment.
In addition to operational success, TCTT has actively participated in social welfare activities such as the movements “Joining Hands to Build New Rural Areas” and “Supporting the Poor – Leaving No One Behind”, contributing nearly VND 2.2 billion to support Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, families of war martyrs, and underprivileged households and students during national holidays.
Recognizing these efforts, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to TCTT and three individuals, while Army Corps 20 commended two collectives and eight individuals for their exceptional performance.

At the ceremony, TCTT contributed VND 200 million to the Ho Chi Minh City “For the Poor” Fund, and VND 100 million to support social welfare programs in Tan Phuoc Ward, HCMC. On this special occasion, TCTT presented flowers of gratitude to former company leaders in recognition of their contributions and long-standing dedication to the company’s development.
