TC-HICT has successfully welcomed OOCL IRIS on the PCC1 service connecting Northern Vietnam directly with the U.S. West Coast. With a deadweight of 165,509 DWT and a capacity of 16,828 TEU, OOCL IRIS is the largest container vessel ever to call at TC-HICT, further demonstrating the operational capability of Northern Vietnam's deep-water port system.

On July 17th, 2026, TC-HICT (Tan Cang – Hai Phong International Container Terminal) successfully welcomed OOCL IRIS, operated by OOCL, on the PCC1 service.
With a deadweight of 165,509 DWT, a carrying capacity of 16,828 TEU, and an overall length of nearly 367 meters, OOCL IRIS is the largest container vessel ever to call at TC-HICT. Introduced into service in 2025, the vessel represents the new generation of ultra-large container ships increasingly deployed by global shipping lines to improve operational efficiency and optimize transportation costs.
