Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center – A Strategic Component Completing the Northern Gateway Logistics Ecosystem

On May 27 in Cat Hai Special Zone, Hai Phong City, amid the dynamic operations of the Lach Huyen deep-water port cluster, the inauguration ceremony of the Tan Cang - Lach Huyen Logistics Center was held, marking a significant milestone in the development journey of Tan Cang Lach Huyen - a key project strategically invested and oriented to become one of Northern Vietnam’s leading integrated, modern, and green logistics hubs, while serving as an important component within Saigon Newport Corporation’s port and logistics ecosystem.
Tan Cang Lach Huyen was established through the strategic cooperation between Tan Cang Offshore Services JSC. under Corps 20 – Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) and Lach Huyen International Logistics & Industrial Park - DeepWater Port JSC., a member of Xuan Cau Holdings.
Both are highly reputable enterprises with strong capabilities in seaport operations, logistics, and industrial infrastructure development.

Within Northern Vietnam’s economic structure, Hai Phong serves as a strategic maritime gateway, playing a critical role in the nation’s marine economic development.
In recent years, the city has consistently identified the development of modern seaport and logistics services as a key priority to create new growth drivers and enhance regional competitiveness. Located within the Lach Huyen Free Trade Zone, Logistics and Industrial Park, the Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center is positioned as a critical logistics nucleus supporting the seaport system, industrial parks, and import-export activities of Hai Phong City and the Northern Key Economic Region.

Tan Cang Lach Huyen pioneers the provision of an integrated and comprehensive logistics service chain, including container depot operations such as lifting, storage, cleaning, and container repair services; bonded warehouses, CFS warehouses, inland warehouses, cargo consolidation and transshipment services, together with value-added logistics solutions. These services contribute to enhancing cargo handling capacity and completing a modern logistics ecosystem for the Lach Huyen deep-water port cluster.
The Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center is developed on a total area of 40 hectares. Phase 1 covers 12.4 hectares and includes a container yard with a handling capacity of 8,000 TEUs, operated by four modern electric RTG cranes, including two newly manufactured by Tan Cang Gantry JSC.
In addition, the project features a warehouse system totaling nearly 30,000 square meters. Warehouse No.1 has an area of 16,200 square meters, while Warehouse No.2, with a planned area of 8,000 square meters, is expected to be commissioned during the 2026–2027 period.
The warehouse system comprises CFS warehouses, bonded warehouses, general cargo warehouses, and value-added supply chain services.The project is also oriented toward becoming the first green logistics model in Lach Huyen, gradually applying international standards in operations, supply chain security, and environmental protection, targeting LEED and C-TPAT certifications. This orientation is expected to strengthen competitive advantages in international trade activities while aligning with global sustainable logistics trends.

Strategically located directly behind the Lach Huyen deep-water port cluster, the Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center offers rapid connectivity to the international seaport system, expressway networks, and key industrial zones across the region.
Notably, its proximity to the planned Vietnam – China railway intermodal corridor is expected to position the Tan Cang Lach Huyen Logistics Center as a strategic node within the cross-border logistics network, enhancing transshipment capabilities and trade connectivity while reinforcing its role as the logistics hinterland for the Lach Huyen deep-water port cluster.
