TCTT welcome the first maiden call of USWC service line from Zim shipping line

In the morning of 02.02.2021, at Ba Ria - Vung Tau city, Tan Cang – Cai Mep Thi Vai Terminal Ltd (TCTT) and Saigon New Port Corporation (SNP) welcomed the maiden call of ALS APOLLO vessel operates the USWC service route from ZIM Shipping Line (Israel).
Attending the ceremony were Senior Lieutenant Colonel Bui Van Quy - Deputy General Director of SNP and Major Truong Tan Loc - Marketing Director of SNP; Comrade Lieutenant Colonel Vu Hong Hung - Director of TCTT Port; Mr. Abraham Elias - General Director of ZIM Shipping Line, along with the Board of Directors, officers, employees, employees of TCTT.

Given the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, unpredictable happenings made the economic recovery process became more difficult. In such circumstances, the TCTT’s Board of Directors has chosen the acute decisions which are always accompanying customers and partners and maintaining the best service quality to ensure efficiency in operating deep water terminal and connect to the logistics system of SNP.

The event of welcoming the maiden call of ALS APOLLO ship that operates the USWC service line for the first time at TCTT Port was a testament to the prestige and capacity of not only the professional container port operation of TCTT but also the SNP port system.
The ALS Apolo ship is the USWC service part of the ZIM Shipping Line
The ALS APOLLO ship of the USCW service route belongs to the ZIM Shipping Line is 260M in length and weight more than 50,000 DWT, capacity of 4,250 TEU. The expected voyage is through 4 major ports: Port Klang (Malaysia) - Laem Chabang (Thailand) - TCTT (Vietnam) - Los Angeles (USA). The Cai Mep port cluster will be the last port in Asia in its voyage with exports mainly - estimated at 1,500 TEUs at TCTT.

The USWC service route has had the fastest connection route from Cai Mep to the US West Coast. The ZIM Shipping Line's new service would connect import and export volume and shorten the transit time to 15 days.
