The first vessel led by Newport Pilot company

On Wednesday January 21, 2009, SNP’s newly-established subsidiary Newport Pilot Company had successfully piloted the first vessel to Tan Cang – Cat Lai Port.

On Wednesday January 21, 2009, SNP’s newly-established subsidiary Newport Pilot Company had successfully piloted the first vessel to Tan Cang – Cat Lai Port.

At 06:30 hrs lt on the day, Chief Pilot Hà Trọng Chưởng of Newport Pilot Company officially led Maersk’s M/V Aberdeen from Vung Tau Pilot Station to the port. By his seasoned experiaences, the vessel had safely called at berth Berth No. 6 at 10:10 hrs lt as scheduled.

At the office of Newport Pilot Company, Mr. Nguyễn Đăng Nghiêm – General Director of SNP and other department heads as well as Maersk Line’s representative warmly welcomed and celebrated the success of this event. The establishment of Newport Pilot Company, as affirmed by Mr. Nghiêm, had proved the efforts of SNP in providing full package service to all shipping lines and clients with respect to the commitment earlier made by the company.

At the celebration, Mr. Paul Hoogwaert – General Director of Maersk Line (Vietnam) specially conveyed heartfelt congratulations and gratitude from Maersk and MCC to SNP and Newport Pilot Company for choosing Maersk Aberdeen as the first vessel led by Newport Pilot Company

It goes without saying that the success of this event shall mark a significant milestone in the development strategies of SNP.
