Saigon Newport Corporation Welcomes the Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport Delegation for a Working Visit and Tour of Tan Cang - Cat Lai Terminal

On February 27th, 2025, Ho Chi Minh City – The delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MPWT) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), led by Mr. Pen Boran – Deputy Minister of MPWT, visited and conducted a working session at Tan Cang - Cat Lai Terminal (TCCL), a key facility under Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP).

During the session, SNP's leadership provided an overview of the port system, logistics services, and the critical role of TCCL in the regional supply chain. The discussions focused on:
- Introduction to SNP’s ecosystem: An overview of SNP’s facilities, operational capabilities, and advanced management technologies.
- Optimization of cargo flow and solutions: Measures to maximize berth capacity, apply technology in cargo coordination, and alleviate port congestion.
- Cambodia-bound cargo operations: Cooperation mechanisms and expansion of multimodal transport links between Vietnam and Cambodia to optimize import-export cargo flow.

The discussions also aimed at fostering cooperation in port development, logistics management, and maritime transport trends in the region. Both parties exchanged insights on challenges and solutions for optimizing the supply chain, enhancing port operations efficiency, and strengthening bilateral trade relations.

Following the meeting, the delegation highly praised the remarkable development of SNP and the strategic role of TCCL in facilitating import-export cargo flow between Vietnam and Cambodia. This includes both road transport connectivity through Tan Cang - Moc Bai Dry Port and waterway transport through Tan Cang Waterway Transport and Tan Cang Cypress.

Both sides discuss and exchange future cooperation opportunities
This visit not only opens new cooperation opportunities between Vietnam and Cambodia in port development, logistics, and maritime transport but also lays the foundation for broader collaboration in infrastructure development, port services expansion, and knowledge exchange between enterprises from both countries. Notably, SNP is actively developing Tan Cang - Moc Bai Dry Port, strategically located near Moc Bai Border Gate, serving as a key logistics hub for Vietnam-Cambodia trade.


This event marks a significant milestone in Vietnam-Cambodia cooperation, contributing to the sustainable growth of the regional logistics supply chain. Moving forward, SNP will continue to pioneer port operations, optimize the supply chain, and enhance maritime trade connectivity between the two countries.
