Saigon Newport Corporation Honored to Receive a 2023 “Industrie 4.0 Award” for the Top Enterprise of Science - Technology & Innovation

On May 27, 2023, in Hanoi, Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) was honored to be recognized as a Top Enterprise of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the Industry 4.0 Awards 2023, which were organized by the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, the Vietnam Automation Association, in collaboration with the Institute of Digital Innovation and Transformation, and under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Information and Communications.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Hai, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Hoang Minh Son, Deputy Minister of Education and Training... and many other ministry and sector executives attended and presented awards to enterprises and products.
 
The "Industrie 4.0 Awards 2023" was organized to evaluate the effectiveness of projects empowering the Fourth Industrial Revolution – notably digital transformations and innovation in localities, organizations, and enterprises, while promoting digital transformations by organizations and businesses, celebrating the development of traditional industrial enterprises and manufacturing plants, connecting supply and demand for digital technology solutions, and building and developing management and intelligent production solutions.

PIONEERING DIGITALIZATION IN PORT OPERATION AND LOGISTICS
Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) is one of the world's 20 container port clusters with the highest throughput volume; it is ranked first among the TOP 10 leading logistics service enterprises in Vietnam; it is a pioneering state-owned enterprise in elevating digitization in the field of port operation and logistics; it makes extensive use of information technology, digital transformation, and the development orientation of the SNP digital ecosystem; and it promotes the construction of "green ports”, "smart services," dynamic and modern; is interested in recruiting, training, retaining, and developing high-quality human resources, meeting the Corporation's sustainable development strategy.

SNP was recognized in the area of "Top Enterprises of Science, Technology, and Innovation" based on these criteria. This accomplishment is the consequence of significant scientific and technological innovation and development, the use of digital technology and manufacturing automation, the creation of business and management methods, and a contribution to economic development.

SNP effectively converted the corporate management model toward digital transformation with the operating motto "Continuous innovation; promote cooperation and investment; increase competitiveness; effective business." SNP was recently recognized for the seventh time in consecutive years for achieving "National Brand" recognition and being a Reputable Logistics Enterprise in Vietnam in 2022. At the same time, SNP is one of ten enterprises in the country with the greatest working environment and conditions for employees, having been recognized as a "Typical Enterprise for Employees" by the Ministry of Labour - Invalids, and Social Affairs in 2022.

The I4.0 Awards 2023 recognized seven provinces or cities, 65 firms, and 79 digital products and solutions.
Including 8 enterprises that achieved Top 4.0 enterprises in Vietnam, 25 enterprises that achieved Top Enterprises for Science, Technology, and Innovation (including Saigon Newport Corporation), and 32 units that achieved Top Enterprises with Intelligent Digital Products and Industry 4.0 technology solutions.
