Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) achieves a throughput milestone of 1,000,000 TEUs in 2023.

On November 10, 2023, Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT), a subsidiary of Saigon Newport Corporation (TCT TCSG), conducted a ceremony to commemorate the arrival of the 1 millionth TEU through the port in 2023, carried by the M/V YM Truth of Yang Ming Shipping Line and belongs to PN2 service operated by THE ALLIANCE. This significant event solidifies TC-HICT's position as one of the foremost port operators in Hai Phong city, a standing maintained over the past 5 years.
Just a week after setting a new record with an output of 144,200 TEUs in October, TC-HICT achieved another milestone in early November by commemorating the passage of the 1,000,000th TEU in 2023. The honored vessel was the M/V YM Truth of Yang Ming, operating within the PN2 service of THE ALLIANCE, which includes shipping lines such as ONE, Yang Ming, Hapag Lloyd, and Hyundai.

Currently, TC-HICT manages 15 weekly service routes, including 7 trans-Pacific routes directly to the US, 3 routes to India, and various Intra-Asia service routes.
In 2023, despite the global economic and political uncertainties, TC-HICT has set new records in exploitation three times:
- In May 2023, it achieved a record for reception with 62 ships entering and leaving the port.
- July 2023 witnessed a record for productivity with 126 moves per hour, surpassing the average productivity of 120 moves per hour.
- By October 2023, the port's throughput reached 144,200 TEU, surpassing its design capacity by 46% compared to the expected plan, marking the highest monthly output since its inception.
