Tan Cang Haiphong International Container Terminal welcomed the 1.000.000th TEU in 2024

On August 12th, Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) in Cat Hai District, Hai Phong, held a ceremony to commemorate the handling of its one-millionth TEU container of 2024 on the SEASPAN OSAKA vessel operated by ONE Line. This marks the third consecutive year that TC-HICT has achieved this significant milestone and represents the earliest attainment of this impressive benchmark.
TC-HICT has experienced remarkable growth in 2024, setting new monthly records for container throughput. The port handled 148,720 TEU in January, followed by 149,772 TEU in May, and a peak of 154,524 TEU in July. As a result of this rapid increase in cargo volume, TC-HICT surpassed the one-million TEU mark in just over eight months.
With ongoing investments in modernizing its facilities and implementing advanced technologies, TC-HICT has risen to the leading port in Hai Phong in terms of cargo throughput, a position it has consistently maintained.
TC-HICT's achievements are a testament to the collective efforts of the Government, the ministries and agencies, the guidance of relevant authorities in Hai Phong City, the close supervision of Saigon New Port Corporation, and most importantly, the strong support of our valued customers and partners.
As the first port in the Lach Huyen international gateway, TC-HICT has faced numerous challenges. Under the leadership of our dedicated team, we have overcome these obstacles and achieved remarkable success. Moving forward, we will continue to focus on innovation, investment, and operational excellence, aligning with the strategic goals of Saigon New Port Corporation.
