The meeting between SNP and Customs of ho chi minh city

During the meeting, two sides has discussed and came to the agreement on a lot of important issues. SNP requested the customs to permit the receipt of containers having “Ho Chi Minh city port”, “Cat Lai port ", "Tan Cang port” as the final destination in the Manifests and B/L at Cat Lai or Tan Cang
On 13th May 2008, the meeting between the SNP’s Top Management and the Representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department and Customs of Saigon Border Gate – zone 1 was held. Mr. Uong Sy Hong and Mr. Tran Ma Thong – Vice heads of Ho Chi Minh City Customs Department chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, two sides has discussed and came to the agreement on a lot of important issues. SNP requested the customs to permit the receipt of containers having “Ho Chi Minh city port”, “Cat Lai port", "Tan Cang port” as the final destination in the Manifests and B/L at Cat Lai or Tan Cang. SNP has also requested the customs to apply the risk management sytem and reduce the rate of the containers has to be inspected. Customs accepted the moving of long staying laden import containers from Cat Lai to Tan Cang, in the time to come, the containers staying for more than 30 days will be tranported to Tan Cang.
Ho Chi Minh city customs agreed with the suggestions of SNP and affirmed their support and assistance for SNP. The official anouncements of the mentioned issues will be promulgated in the soonest time.
