Prime minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and government delegation visit Saigon Newport Corporation.

On 19.12, Saigon Newport Corporation was honored to welcome Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Member of the Politburo and the delegation of Government to visit Tan Cang - Cat Lai.



Joining the delegation there were Chairman of HCMC People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong – member of the Central Party Committee; Lieutenant General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Vice Chairman of the General Political Department of the Vietnam People's Army, member of the Central Party Committee and leaders from Ministry of transport, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Construction and other government departments

Receiving the delegation there are Rear Admiral Ngo Sy Quyet - Deputy Commander of the Navy; SNP members of Board of Directors and other leaders from SNP departments.

In the visit, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the delegation visited B7 berth, Operation Centre and had a meeting with SNP leaders.

At the meeting, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Nghiem - SNP President reported the results of performing the defense mission and the achievements of SNP over the years. He also suggested to the Prime Minister the strategic solutions to develop ports and logistics to 2020 years and the vision to 2030, to meet the requirements of Vietnam's economy in the international economic integration and has proposed to the Government for SNP to continue to invest the projects in Lach Huyen, Hai Phong city, and invest to construct Cai Mep Downstream (Ba Ria Vung Tau) which is capable of receiving 20 thousand tons vessel.

 

Speaking at the meeting, the Prime Minister sent his greetings to SNP staff and employees. He highly appreciated and praised the though and vision of SNP, strategic vision in investing and expanding operation, in line with the target of economic development. He also praised SNP staff and employees and soldiers for having assert, creativeness and well completing all mission of the Party, the State, completed many military construction; leading in investing in infrastructure development, port technology of management and operation; breakthrough in the reform of administrative procedures to reduce the time for loading containers from 35 hours to 12 hours to facilitate for import and export business.

Prime Minister wished that SNP gradually reached out to the international to build SNP became the Vietnam leading corporation in the sea economics.

These suggestions of SNP were highly supported by Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and he entrusted for the concerning ministries of research, reporting to the Prime Minister for consideration.
