Saigon Newport collaborates with Binh Duong Customs to enhance import-export operations through extended air cargo warehouses

On March 26th, Binh Duong Customs Department, in coordination with Tan Cang Express JSC (TCE), organized a conference to introduce the operations of extended air cargo warehouses at TCE (Binh Hoa Ward, Thuận An City). Approximately 150 import-export enterprises (IEEs) and logistics enterprises in the province attended the conference
Scene at the conference
During the conference, Tan Cang - Song Than ICD (ICDST) and Binh Duong Customs Department briefed the enterprises on the organization of goods transportation through extended air cargo warehouses. This model resembles cargo terminals at airports, including inspection, cargo weighing, and customs procedures. Extended air cargo warehouses help reduce customs clearance time and increase the speed of international cargo transportation, while alleviating congestion at airports.

According to ICDST and Binh Duong Customs Department, utilizing extended air cargo warehouses for import-export activities will save enterprises time and costs in transporting goods to airports, facilitate cargo consolidation and packing, and shorten the time for cargo weighing, inspection, and customs procedures.
