On the evening of February 9th, at the Cat Lai Port, Ho Chi Minh City, SNP organized the Spring Order Ceremony for the Year of the Tiger 2024. Attending the program were comrades: Nguyen Van Nen, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee; Phan Van Mai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Rear Admiral Pham Manh Hung, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Navy; along with leaders of Central Ministries, Departments, Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 7, Navy branches; and departments and agencies of Ho Chi Minh City. This is an annual traditional activity of SNP on the occasion of Tet and the coming of Spring.

In the past year, alongside its business operations, SNP has effectively implemented the movement to build new rural areas and activities of gratitude and reciprocity. These activities have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party, the State, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and local authorities. In 2023, SNP was awarded the title of Labor Hero for the second time and was honored for the fifth consecutive time as an "Outstanding Enterprise for Workers.

Colonel Ngo Minh Thuan, General Director of SNP, stated: During the Tet holiday of the Year of the Tiger 2024, at the Tan Cang-Cat Lai Port, each production shift had over 1,100 direct laborers managing, operating, and serving. In the first week of the Lunar New Year, the port welcomed 75 cargo ships with a throughput of 72 thousand TEUs, equivalent to over 1 million tons of goods (a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2023). Specifically, during the Spring Order Ceremony, the port received 7 container ships, with cargo loaded on the Uni Perfect vessel of Evergreen Line weighing 19,308 tons, with a capacity of nearly 1,618 TEUs. This shipment consists of electronic components, a key export item contributing to Ho Chi Minh City's export turnover of over $42 billion last year. The ship's route is from Cat Lai Port (Vietnam) to Kaohsiung (Taiwan) - Osaka, Kobe, Hakata (Japan) - Shanghai (China) - Hong Kong - Cat Lai. The total handling volume during the Spring Order Ceremony at Tan Cang-Cat Lai Port reached about 7,500 TEUs (equivalent to 105 thousand tons of cargo).

Speaking at the event, Comrade Phan Van Mai, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, stated: SNP is a business with import and export tax revenue passing through Cat Lai Port reaching nearly 71 trillion VND, contributing about 16% of the total budget revenue of the City. The City's leadership trusts that SNP will continue to lead in digital transformation in all fields to maintain even higher growth figures. SNP has always been a leading enterprise contributing to the strong development of Ho Chi Minh City and affirming the port's brand both domestically and internationally in Ho Chi Minh City.
