In the first ten months of 2024, the Chinese market has observed an increase of 5.5% with regard to the two-way trade between Vietnam and China, reaching 168.5 billion USD compared to the same period in the last year. Specifically, Vietnam exports to China is 49.94 billion USD, which is an increase of nearly 200 million USD. Based on the situation, Sinolines has decided to launch the new service line CVT1 to berth at Cat Lai Terminal D to continue developing the import-export sector between the countries.
In 2024, Cat Lai Terminal D successfully received multiple service routes connecting Vietnam, China, Thailand, and other regional countries within Asia. The berth is able to handle container ships, bulk cargo vessels, and international cruise ships. In December 2024, Cat Lai Terminal D continued to solidify its position by welcoming the long-term CVT1 service from Sinolines (with the route: Nansha - Hong Kong - Shekou - Cat Lai - Laemchabang - TCHP - Nansha), alongside 5 existing services. This event is not only a significant step in increasing ship reception capacity but also a major milestone in enhancing the port and logistics services pillar of SNP, driving strong economic growth in Vietnam.
