Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal Strives to Become a Leading Logistics Hub in Southern Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, April 3, 2025 – Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Termninal, a subsidiary of Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP), proudly celebrated its 15th anniversary (April 6, 2010 – April 6, 2025) with a ceremony, during which it was honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Ministry of National Defense.

The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Mr. Ngo Minh Thuan, President of SNP; Mr. Nguyen Dang Khoa, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union; Ms. Le Thi Anh Thu, Vice Chairman of the Nha Be District People’s Committee; Mr. Ngo Quang Hung, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Maritime Administration, as well as representatives from various governmental agencies, business partners, and shipping lines.

A Key Logistics Hub in Southern Vietnam

Reflecting on the port’s 15-year journey, Mr. Pham Thanh Son – General Director of Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal (TCHP), highlighted its strategic importance.
 

Covering 17 hectares, the port operates two container berths and four barge berths along the Soai Rap River, with a main berth length of 420 meters, capable of accommodating fully loaded vessels of up to 50,000 DWT. As a crucial trade gateway and logistics hub, Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc Terminal serves as a vital extension of the Tan Cang – Cat Lai Terminal and Cai Mep port clusters, fostering regional economic growth and attracting investment to southern Ho Chi Minh City.

Over the past 15 years, TCHP has been at the forefront of digital transformation, integrating advanced technologies into its management and operations. The port utilizes the TOPO terminal operating system to optimize planning, resource allocation, and equipment utilization. Additionally, it employs HRM software for human resource and payroll management, as well as Maximo software for asset and maintenance management. The port’s data is seamlessly synchronized with SNP’s Golive and e-Port platforms in real-time, providing customers with 24/7 access to cargo tracking across SNP’s entire network.

With 8 fixed weekly shipping services, TCHP facilitates import and export cargo movements to and from China, Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, and the United States, in partnership with major shipping lines such as SITC, Taicang Shipping, Ningbo Ocean Shipping (Benlines), Hede Shipping (Sinovitrans), Sinolines (Orimas), RCL, Shanghai Jinjiang Shipping, Matson Shipping, KMTC, CK Lines, and STX Pan Ocean.

Between 2020 and 2024, TCHP achieved nearly VND 2 trillion in total revenue, with an average annual growth rate of 102%. Post-tax profit reached 103.8%, while contributions to the state budget averaged 103.4%. Employee income also saw consistent growth, averaging over VND 28 million per person per month.

During the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Minh Thuan, President of SNP, commended the remarkable achievements of TCHP’s management and workforce over the past 15 years. He encouraged continued innovation, unity, and dedication to further strengthen the port’s position as a leading logistics hub, aligned with SNP’s tradition of excellence.

SNP also recognized two outstanding teams and seven individuals for their exceptional contributions to the company’s success.

Beyond business operations, TCHP remains deeply committed to corporate social responsibility. The port actively participates in philanthropic initiatives, including lifelong support for Vietnamese heroic mothers in Nha Be District.
On this occasion, the company donated VND 100 million – raised through employee contributions to renovate and repair homes for disadvantaged families in the district.
