On October 28th, 2024, Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc (Terminal D of Cat Lai) welcomed the international cruise ship Silver Nova after completing dredging.
The Silver Nova cruise ship is one of the world's leading luxury cruise ships, built by the Meyer Werft shipyard and managed by Royal Caribbean International (RCI). This international cruise ship stands out with its advanced hybrid technology, enabling it to produce zero emissions. The Silver Nova cruise ship measures 244 meters in length, includes 11 decks, and has a gross tonnage of 54,700 GT, serving 500 crew members and over 600 passengers.
“Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc (Terminal D of Cat Lai) covers an area of 17 hectares, has a main berth of 420 meters capable of accommodating vessels over 50,000 DWT, and a 253-meter barge berth with a capacity of 2,000 DWT. Tan Cang – Hiep Phuoc (Terminal D of Cat Lai) provides a full range of services from operating container ships, general cargo vessels, and cruise ships.
The completion of dredging at the berth has opened up many development opportunities for Tan Cang - Hiep Phuoc (Terminal D of Cat Lai), enabling the port to receive larger vessels, especially cruise ships.
