On May 29th, Tan Cang Waterway Transport Joint Stock Company solemnly held the handover ceremony of 2 barges named TAN CANG 011 and TAN CANG 012
On May 29th, Tan Cang Waterway Transport Joint Stock Company solemnly held the handover ceremony of 2 barges named TAN CANG 011 and TAN CANG 012, each with a capacity of 96 TEUs and put into operation. Both 2 new barges have had the first container shipments from Tan Cang - 128 Hai Phong to Tan Cang -Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) and from TC HICT to Tan Cang - Que Vo ICD. This is an important part of the campaign to develope green transport and connecting the ecosystem of Saigon Newport Corporation in the Northern region.

The addition of 2 barges will help Tan Cang Waterway Transport to diversify shipping routes, shorten vehicle turnaround time with the spirit of "Bringing the port closer to customers", creating fixed barge services connecting ICD with Port, especially deep-water port cluster at Lach Huyen.

Especially when the road system connecting the key economic region of the North region and Hai Phong port cluster is showing signs of overload, the barge crew capacity improvement of the company will ensure customers a parallel choice with onland transport to be able to guarantee the supply chain of businesses, especially in the peak season.
