Tan Cang - Que Vo ICD welcomed the first exporting shipment with customs clearance proceeded in Que Vo

On the morning of April 22nd, 2022, Tan Cang - Que Vo ICD (TCQV) successfully organized the welcome ceremony of the SITC Shipping line’s first batch of exports cleared at TCQV. This is an important mark, responding to the expectations of the Board of Directors and local authorities on the development of a superior logistics facility, capable of taking on the role of a key freight forwarder of Bac Ninh province in general and the northern Vietnam key economic region in particular.
This is the first batch which uses TCQV as the final destination, confirming that TCQV can operate full ICD functions. The customer took the empty container of SITC from ICD to the factory in Vinh Phuc to stuff, and then dropped off the container, opened the customs declaration at TCQV on April 21st, 2022; the customers used the barging service of Tan Cang Waterways Transport to Hai Phong port area, and completed the export registration on April 26, 2022.
From now on, customers in Bac Ninh, Bac Giang and neighboring provinces can use TCQV as a seaport for import-export activities.
Although there are still many difficulties and objective challenges, inland waterway transport in general, barging services and TCQV's operation in particular have a lot of room for development and are considered a leading trend, because it can bring many benefits to local businesses, such as:
- Cutting logistics costs and time, facilitating customers in neighboring industries;
- Reducing pressure on the road system;
- Reducing CO2 emissions...
In this joy, Commander Tran Van Cuong - Director of TCQV - sent his gratitude and deep gratitude to the support and cooperation of the customs department, shipping lines and customers. Although the batch has limited volume, this event still marked a milestone and premise for TCQV to attract more services in the near future.
Over the years, SITC has always been in close relationship with Saigon Newport Corporation (SNP) in cooperation with many SNP’s facilities. Mr. Wanglibo - General Director of SITC Vietnam highly appreciated the benefits of barging solutions at TCQV for customers. Speaking at the ceremony, he expressed his pleasure that SITC has contributed to the initial success of TCQV. He also expected SNP and TCQV to grow stronger in the future.
Representative of the Customs department, Mr. Vu Danh Hai - Head of Bac Ninh Customs Department emphasized that the development of TCQV will always have the coordination and comprehensive support of the Bac Ninh Customs Department, to boost regional economic development. This shows the commitment between the customs department and SNP to serve customers, and simultaneously confirms the development potential of TCQV - to become one of the biggest logistics centers in northern Vietnam.
The event of the first batch of export cleared at TCQV has shown the trust and support of shipping lines and customers. TCQV ICD gradually demonstrates its attraction and importance to the economy of northern Vietnam, and in the sustainable development strategy of local businesses.
