Successfully operated the promotion of transportation campain between Cai Mep – Tan Cang Long Binh ICD

In September and October 2020, Tan Cang Long Binh ICD had been proactive to promote the attraction of transportation of empty container between Cai Mep - Tan Cang Long Binh ICD, with the successful new Code registration for Cosco Shipping Line and implementing procedures to receive and transport the first shipment to TCIT for export to Long Beach Port, USA..



The campaign to connect by road between Cai Mep and Tan Cang Long Binh ICD has been implemented from December 2019 to reduce the concentration of Goods at the seaports in the Ho Chi Minh City area and Cai Mep port cluster (Ba Ria - Vung Tau). Tan Cang Long Binh ICD is a connecting link, the "extended arm" of the Cai Mep port cluster system with industrial parks, industrial clusters in Bien Hoa city, and major industrial zones in Dong Nai province. Following that success, on October 6, 2020, Tan Cang Long Binh ICD cooperated with Legend Cargo Logistics company to unloading 3 containers of reefer cargo at Tan Cang Long Binh ICD to export, complete customs procedures, and transport by road to TCIT to exported to Long Beach port, USA. This is the first shipment, to receive empty containers and unloading laden containers for export from/to Tan Cang Long Binh ICD in the campaign to attract goods for the solution of connecting Dong Nai to Cai Mep- Thi Vai deep-water port cluster. The successful deployment of this export shipment is the result of the process of utilizing the transportation capacity of the Marketing department and SNP Logistics in coordination with other units in the system such as ports of TCIT, TCTT, ICD Tan Cang Long Binh to providing customers with more effective logistics solutions to help save costs, increase connectivity and reduce the pressure on Tan Cang Cat Lai Port.

 



With a vision of becoming an inland port, a logistics center in Bien Hoa and Dong Nai soon, Tan Cang Long Binh ICD will continue to improve current services and expand new services, towards providing package services, bringing multi-benefits to the service chain participants such as reducing costs, saving time for customers and shipping lines and helping to improve service quality.
