Tan Cang Overland Transportation holds the announcement ceremony of ISO39001:2012 certification and launching of Tan Cang – Rach Chiec Depot

On 24th June, Tan Cang Overland Transportation JSC., (TCOTC) and Saigon Newport Corporation held the Announcement Ceremony of ISO 39001:2012 certification on Road Traffic Safety Management System and launching of Tan Cang – Rach Chiec Depot.
Attending the ceremony were Rear Admiral, Vice Commander-in-Chief of Vietnam People Navy Hoang Hong Ha; Director of Transportation Department (Ministry of Transport), Vice President of National Safety Committee Mr. Khuat Viet Hung; Deputy Director of Traffic Police Department, Lieutenant-colonel Dinh The Anh; Managing Director of TuvNord South East Asia, Mr Vinta Reddy, the comrades in the Party, SNP Board of Directors, officers and employees and representatives of TCOTC.
Tan Cang Overland Transportation JSC was established in order to develop the overland transportation and operate depots and M&R services at SNP’s premises. Since inception, the company has operated satellite depots to reduce the transport pressure for Cat Lai area to serve our customers, carriers. Tan Cang - Rach Chiec Depot is one of the newly built depots in the company’s development orientation. It has a total area of 8 hectares, located on the ring road No. 2. This ring road connects Long Thanh Dau Giay expressway and Cat Lai area, which helps to facilitate the cargo operation of customers and to avoid traffic jams in Dong Van Cong and Nguyen Thi Dinh streets.
Especially, this depot is next to Hi-Tech Park, District 9 so it is very convenient for big factories in this area. Phase I with 2 hectares has been put into operation and was fully occupied from the first months. Phase II with 6 hectares is being constructed and put into operation in late 2016. The depot shall be equipped with modern equipments and shall apply technology into the service procedures to improve service quality and satisfy customers and shipping lines.
In term of overland transportation, TCOTC is one of four companies nationwide selected by the National Safety Committee to apply the pilot of Road Traffic Safety Management System in accordance with ISO 39001:2012. On 24th June, the company officially announces to the governmental authorities, partners, customers and shipping lines that the certification ISO 39001: 2012 has been granted to TCOTC by TuvNord Thailand.
Making speech at the ceremony, Labor hero, Rear Admiral, President of SNP Nguyen Dang Nghiem suggest TCOTC to focus on the task of maintaining and constantly improving the management system quality; implementing ISO practically in order to using ISO as a tool to administer efficiently transportation chain, and implementing solution to attract carriers, customers to improve business efficiency of TC-Rach depot to ensure quality of service as the commitments of SNP.
Sharing at the event, representative the National Safety Committee, Mr. Khuat Viet Hung asserted that receiving the ISO 39001:2012 certificate of TCOTC confirms the determination to build, apply and operate the management system of Road Traffic Safety successfully in the company management targeting at making the contribution to reducing risk for laborers, reducing costs caused by accidents, ensuring the health and raising incomes for the laborers, showing the company’s responsibilities towards the society. He hoped that in the coming time, there would be more companies showing the attention to build management system of road traffic safety following the ISO 39001:2012 for their own companies. This will help to contribute to minimize the unfortunate consequences caused by the unsafe traffic.
Representative of TCOTC, Director Tran Phuoc Hiep thanked the attention and encouragement of representatives of the Ministry of Transport, the government and SNP leaders, he committed to implementing ISO 39 001:2012 substantially and will always improve the quality of transport services and depot operations to meet customer needs.
